Trapped: The Alex Cooper Story Premiering September 28th, 2019

Kate Drummond stars in the upcoming premiere of Trapped: The Alex Cooper Story, airing Saturday, September 28, at 8 p.m. ET on Lifetime. 

The movie is based on the true life memoire of fifteen-year-old Alex who was sent to a conversion therapy home in Utah when she revealed to her Mormon parents that she is gay.

Kate plays Alex’s mother, Mrs. Cooper, in this powerful movie. “It was a challenging role for me,” says Drummond, “But it was so important for me to be part of a story that will hopefully educate people and shed light on what is happening still today.”

Directed by Jeffrey Hunt (Vampire Diaries, Shadowhunters)  and written by Michelle Paradis (Star Trek Discovery), the movie stars Addison Holley as Alex Cooper.
